The attack was good, but when Armando Baraquiel in the 28th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After 42 played minutes Ground Control got a freekick which was hit by Tostão Donato. Fabien Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Indalecio in the 43rd minute of play. In the 46th minute Anton Karakevych shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Federico Checa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Depor Alex Return's Federico Checa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Depor Alex Return from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

German Erruki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabien Nunes having to interfere. A collision led to Ground Control getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Ibrahim Gaudel hit a great ball. Jony Maidana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Fabien Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Ground Control's Fabien Nunes got control of the ball when Armando Baraquiel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Federico Checa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amine Philibert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Amine Philibert came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Ground Control fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amine Philibert couldn't finish the play. In the 76th minute, Batiste Lassalle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Ground Control's Fabien Nunes got control of the ball when Laureano Olayo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Depor Alex Return's Federico Checa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Batiste Lassalle in the 78th minute of play.
