The supporters of GRÊMIO booed when Jr Familia Campos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Douglas Dionísio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leo Crespo hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Luiz Gustavo Mazza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Valdir Gaúcho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute Luiz Gustavo Mazza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdir Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th match minute, GRÊMIO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo De Leon to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Naldo Prado in the 16th minute really tested Sergio Goicoechea's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Valdir Gaúcho didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when GRÊMIO's 史挺南 shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Douglas Dionísio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Jr Familia Campos FC defense, Luiz Gustavo Mazza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valdir Gaúcho. The Jr Familia Campos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valdir Gaúcho should have stopped the shot. Valdir Gaúcho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvério Pinheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. GRÊMIO's Sergio Goicoechea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save GRÊMIO from getting a goal against them. In the 33rdth minute of the game Luiz Gustavo Mazza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jr Familia Campos FC's Valdir Gaúcho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Walmir Donatello kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Valdir Gaúcho came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by GRÊMIO's Luiz Gustavo Mazza. But to his dismay, Luiz Gustavo Mazza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. After 40 minutes of play, GRÊMIO's Luiz Gustavo Mazza made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valdir Gaúcho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Valdir Gaúcho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Pirani, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 史挺南 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the match, Luiz Gustavo Mazza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valdir Gaúcho. Jr Familia Campos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Gustavo Mazza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. After 66 played minutes Jr Familia Campos FC got a freekick which was hit by Leo Crespo. Luiz Gustavo Mazza took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valdir Gaúcho. Valdir Gaúcho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Jr Familia Campos FC's Valdir Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvério Pinheiro in the 71st minute of play. Leo Crespo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sergio Goicoechea having to make a save. Valdir Gaúcho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 史挺南 in the 78th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in GRÊMIO's zone, Leo Crespo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sergio Goicoechea came out of the goal and Leo Crespo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valdir Gaúcho made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Luiz Gustavo Mazza sent off a good shot on target. Jr Familia Campos FC's Valdir Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvério Pinheiro in the 82nd minute of play. If Luiz Gustavo Mazza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valdir Gaúcho made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when 史挺南 sent off a good shot on target. 94 minutes into the match, Leo Crespo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sergio Goicoechea.
