Wilbur Hyde made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. With a little luck, Llavallol FC's Agustin Orion got control of the ball when Joaquim Vilar tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind El Canalla de Chicago's goalkeeper Wilbur Hyde, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Percy Medeiros's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilbur Hyde was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. In the 46th minute, Emmanuel Lockhart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Llavallol FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joaquim Vilar made a kick off. A collision led to Llavallol FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Isaac Cordero hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Vilar in the 52nd minute of play forced Llavallol FC's goalkeeper Agustin Orion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Llavallol FC's Benedito Fiúza managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hugo Hubbard in the 54 minute of the game. 55 minutes into the match, El Canalla de Chicago's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Maxin came free, but Wilbur Hyde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Percy Medeiross short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Wilbur Hyde to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A sloppy throw-in by Isaac Cordero in the 60th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by El Canalla de Chicago's Emmanuel Lockhart. Benedito Fiúza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilbur Hyde having to interfere. El Canalla de Chicago's Justin Raines was substituted for Hugo Hubbard. Wilbur Hyde made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Percy Medeiros sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Maxin in the 92nd minute of play forced El Canalla de Chicago's goalkeeper Wilbur Hyde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Justin Raines during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
