After some careless play in the Degerfors IF defense, Belcho Hlebarov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Håkan Söderberg. The Degerfors IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Håkan Söderberg should have stopped the shot. Åke Fors fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anzhelo Gerushin having to interfere. 孙树真 hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. If Åke Fors had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Åke Fors's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anzhelo Gerushin was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Håkan Söderberg made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Nedelcho Petlichkov sent off a good shot on target. After 23 minutes, Nedelcho Petlichkov made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Degerfors IF's Håkan Söderberg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Nedelcho Petlichkov hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christian Håkansson during the 54th minute. It was a very nice shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Fredrik Isak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Degerfors IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Fredrik Isak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anzhelo Gerushin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 85 played minutes Degerfors IF got a freekick which was hit by 孙树真. After a rather tough play, ЦСКА's Stoimen Dipchikov got a free kick in the 90th minute. Belcho Hlebarov hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. In the 97th minute of the game Stoimen Dipchikov made a throw-in which Lyuboslav Popinski played forward. Many of Degerfors IF's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Degerfors IF may have spent more time on the ball, but ЦСКА were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
