In the 13thth minute of the game Sven Brask who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but WIDZEW ŁÓDŹ's Santiago Mele was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lokomotiv Plovdiv's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Talal Oussalah in the 15th minute. It was a well-played corner which Zdzislaw Obuchowicz managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 16th minute Marquinhos Rosado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Krasimir Mishovski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zdzislaw Obuchowicz in the 20thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Santiago Mele, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Krasimir Mishovski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marquinhos Rosado, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Krasimir Mishovski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marquinhos Rosado in the 26th minute of play. Krasimir Mishovski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marquinhos Rosado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marquinhos Rosado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Krasimir Mishovski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th match minute, Lokomotiv Plovdiv was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yulian Florov to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sven Brask made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Mirolyub Dragoychev left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lokomotiv Plovdiv fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Marquinhos Rosado hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Krasimir Mishovski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marquinhos Rosado, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute Sven Brask shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Mele saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jordi Alba charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jordi Alba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jordi Alba hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Lokomotiv Plovdiv's Facundo Nazario was substituted for Sven Brask. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marquinhos Rosado in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Krasimir Mishovski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Facundo Nazario in the 68th minute of play forced WIDZEW ŁÓDŹ's goalkeeper Santiago Mele to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santiago Mele made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zdzislaw Obuchowicz in the 72nd minute of play. After taking down the ball on WIDZEW ŁÓDŹ's corner Demetrius Cho fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Krasimir Mishovski quite easily take care of the ball. Demetrius Cho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Krasimir Mishovski made a huge save. Santiago Mele took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zdzislaw Obuchowicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute, Demetrius Cho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Krasimir Mishovski was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. WIDZEW ŁÓDŹ's Santiago Mele played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Facundo Nazario in the 91st minute of play. Lokomotiv Plovdiv's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
