The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Octavio Iigo during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Copérnico F.C. getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Octavio Iigo hit a great ball. When Waclaw Dombrowski came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Ballet Azul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waclaw Dombrowski couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that René Puente's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Herminio Guillelme was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. In the 14th minute René Puente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herminio Guillelme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Copérnico F.C. booed when Ballet Azul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waclaw Dombrowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Montrell in the 16th minute of play forced Ballet Azul's goalkeeper José Luis Chilavert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herminio Guillelme didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Esequiel Dohrmann went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Herminio Guillelme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from René Puente, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Ballet Azul were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Copérnico F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Waclaw Dombrowski took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Waclaw Dombrowski got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Herminio Guillelme quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 25 played minutes Copérnico F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Arnoldo Txatxu. Herminio Guillelme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from René Puente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30thth minute of the game René Puente who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Copérnico F.C.'s Herminio Guillelme was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alvaro Montrell was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 32nd minute. Copérnico F.C.'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Copérnico F.C.'s Herminio Guillelme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eladio Ulloa in the 35th minute of play. If Lucas Luar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Copérnico F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Waclaw Dombrowski was slow to take the kick. During this time Ballet Azul's players had a chance to rest. René Puente blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Herminio Guillelme having to make a save. Eulalio Callejas struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Herminio Guillelme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballet Azul. A collision led to Copérnico F.C. getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Agustin Raymon hit a great ball. Alvaro Montrell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Luis Chilavert having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for René Puente to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Eladio Ulloa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Herminio Guillelme. The goal made the score 0-4. Copérnico F.C.'s Urki Veraza was substituted for Paulino Ledesma. Eulalio Callejas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Herminio Guillelme having to make a save. In the 66th minute, Eladio Ulloa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eladio Ulloa hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alvaro Montrell in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Luis Chilavert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Herminio Guillelme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Odín Enríquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes in the game, Odín Enríquez fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Herminio Guillelme having to interfere. In the 77th minute René Puente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herminio Guillelme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ballet Azul's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Waclaw Dombrowski in the 78th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Ballet Azul's René Puente slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Herminio Guillelme. That made the score 0-6 after 81 minutes of play. Copérnico F.C.'s Herminio Guillelme proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Copérnico F.C. from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eladio Ulloa in the 88th minute of play forced Copérnico F.C.'s goalkeeper Herminio Guillelme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Eladio Ulloa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Eladio Ulloa put it in 0-8 from a short distance just to the right of Herminio Guillelme.
