The Bacardi Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dennis Palleschi should have stopped the shot. Dennis Palleschi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luisinho Laguna went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The supporters of El Gallo de Moron booed when Bacardi Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Irinej Beriša didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastian Quin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dennis Palleschi having to make a save. In the 21st minute Luisinho Laguna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Palleschi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tase Pandiloski to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Teofilo Garrote managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Gallo de Moron's supporters rose to their feet, but Teofilo Garrote was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. With a little luck, Bacardi Club's Dennis Palleschi got control of the ball when Luisinho Laguna tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bacardi Club's goalkeeper Dennis Palleschi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. El Gallo de Moron walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
