In the 91st minute Vasil Djurovski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lonnie Hurley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bacardi Club's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dranuš Lozanov in the 93rd minute. Dranuš Lozanov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lonnie Hurley having to interfere. When the match clock showed 96 minutes, the score became 1-8 when Georges Collard sped through Bacardi Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dennis Palleschi. Key Biscayne FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
