Edin Džeko scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kenneth van der Leegte, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 10 minutes into the match, Régis Mello had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kenneth van der Leegte. SV Wissenkerke's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Régis Mello was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Amadeo Rufo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Nova Erechim - FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edin Džeko in the 19th minute of play forced SV Wissenkerke's goalkeeper Kenneth van der Leegte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kenneth van der Leegte came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Edin Džeko. But to his dismay, Edin Džeko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 24 minutes into the game, Régis Mello cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Kenneth van der Leegte was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 31 minutes of play, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Régis Mello made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kenneth van der Leegte was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Régis Mello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Régis Mello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kenneth van der Leegte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Frits van Loo lost his temper 37 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 38th minute of the match Guilherme Peres sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kenneth van der Leegte skillfully saved the ball. Amadeo Rufo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wouter Kluivert in the 45th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Songurbey Şahsuvar to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Songurbey Şahsuvar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Kenneth van der Leegte was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kenneth van der Leegte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Régis Mello, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Dário Goiano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Kenneth van der Leegte made a huge save. Kenneth van der Leegte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Régis Mello in the 70th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Songurbey Şahsuvar in the 73rd minute of play forced SV Wissenkerke's goalkeeper Kenneth van der Leegte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Songurbey Şahsuvar took a quick shot and it went in 0-10 without a chance for Kenneth van der Leegte to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in SV Wissenkerke's zone, Shi Yi Xi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kenneth van der Leegte came out of the goal and Shi Yi Xi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kenneth van der Leegte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Régis Mello in the 83rd minute of play. When Songurbey Şahsuvar came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Nova Erechim - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Songurbey Şahsuvar couldn't finish the play. Kenneth van der Leegte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Songurbey Şahsuvar in the 90th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Nova Erechim - FSCMZ left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SV Wissenkerke.
