A collision led to Frontera AFC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Luis Advíncula hit a great ball. Máté Márton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvestre Cisco, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. If Kaj-Åke Kaká had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Máté Márton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silvestre Cisco in the 36th minute. A collision led to Frontera AFC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Luis Advíncula hit a great ball. Agustín Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Austin in the 38th minute of play. Agustín Rossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damaso Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Sergio Austin came free with the goalkeeper in the 52nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Agustín Rossi could save by the left post. If Silvestre Cisco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Congo Bongo's Arnaldo Oidor was substituted for Iker Atarrabi. The supporters of Congo Bongo booed when Frontera AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Lain didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Congo Bongo's Franz Beckenbauer seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Franz Beckenbauer the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Congo Bongo protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Franz Beckenbauer had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Frontera AFC's Mariano Bitxintxo was substituted for Celso Betadur. 65 minutes into the game, one of Congo Bongo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Naohiro Takahara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvestre Cisco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Máté Márton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th minute Ingvar Andersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustín Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Martin Lain hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th minute Silvestre Cisco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Máté Márton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78thth minute of the game Silvestre Cisco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Congo Bongo's Máté Márton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 80 minutes of play, Frontera AFC's Naohiro Takahara made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Máté Márton was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnaldo Oidor in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Agustín Rossi saved Frontera AFC from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Arnaldo Oidor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Agustín Rossi was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Congo Bongo's goalkeeper Máté Márton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Silvestre Cisco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 91 minutes into the match, Frontera AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ingvar Andersson came free, but Agustín Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mariano Bitxintxo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Máté Márton. Congo Bongo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Arnaldo Oidor took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Agustín Rossi to make any attempt to save it. Frontera AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Congo Bongo for a fine match.
