With an all-out effort, Municipales FC's Esbjörn Apelquist threw himself towards the right post 6 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from İskender Yörük, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Municipales FC were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after White Hart Lane's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bruce Harper took the corner. With a little luck, White Hart Lane's Esbjörn Apelquist got control of the ball when Eloy Aznar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Esbjörn Apelquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İskender Yörük in the 12th minute of play. Bruce Harper made a great header on Municipales FC's corner, it was just that White Hart Lane's Esbjörn Apelquist managed to reach the ball for a save. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by White Hart Lane's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bruce Harper was slow to take the kick. During this time Municipales FC's players had a chance to rest. Eloy Aznar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esbjörn Apelquist having to interfere. Edvin van der Sar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dick Wennerberg in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Municipales FC's Eloy Aznar dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Esbjörn Apelquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from İskender Yörük in the 28th minute of the match. Esbjörn Apelquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İskender Yörük, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Esbjörn Apelquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İskender Yörük in the 32nd minute of play. After 33 minutes White Hart Lane's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bruce Harper who took care of the corner kick. If İskender Yörük had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Eloy Aznar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Municipales FC's Arjen Robben was substituted for İskender Yörük. Through an outstanding action, after 53 minutes, Edvin van der Sar successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Edgardo Quintun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Municipales FC's Edvin van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dick Wennerberg in the 56th minute of play. White Hart Lane's Bertil Ekman was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 56th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Edgardo Quintun sped through White Hart Lane's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Esbjörn Apelquist. Kenneth Söderqvist made in the 63rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Jorma Jääskeläinen however managed to control. The supporters of White Hart Lane booed when Municipales FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelito Di Maria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kenneth Söderqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Edgardo Quintun scored 3-1 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Esbjörn Apelquist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the White Hart Lane defense, Edgardo Quintun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Esbjörn Apelquist. The White Hart Lane fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Esbjörn Apelquist should have stopped the shot. Esbjörn Apelquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgardo Quintun in the 80th minute of play. Esbjörn Apelquist came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Municipales FC's Edgardo Quintun. But to his dismay, Edgardo Quintun quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. In the 85th minute, Edgardo Quintun ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Esbjörn Apelquist was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. In the 88th minute Edgardo Quintun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esbjörn Apelquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Municipales FC were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after White Hart Lane's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bruce Harper took the corner. 91 minutes into the game, Municipales FC's Edgardo Quintun nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Esbjörn Apelquist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-1. Edgardo Quintun scored 9-1 in the 98th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Esbjörn Apelquist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. White Hart Lane's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
