Cacá Maciel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İskender Yörük in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Décio Messias in the 6th minute of play forced Municipales FC's goalkeeper Edvin van der Sar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Municipales FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bruce Harper in the 8th minute. The corner ended in Bruce Harper almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sipo EC's Cacá Maciel did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Paulo Prata in the 11th minute of play forced Municipales FC's goalkeeper Edvin van der Sar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luciano Pons in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cacá Maciel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Raul Jaunti kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Cacá Maciel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İskender Yörük in the 16th minute of play. Cacá Maciel made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Luciano Pons sent off a good shot on target. Luciano Pons could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Cacá Maciel made a huge save. The Municipales FC fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Municipales FC's Luciano Pons looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 24 minutes into the match, İskender Yörük had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cacá Maciel. Sipo EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that İskender Yörük was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Luciano Pons put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Cacá Maciel. In the 29th minute Luciano Pons shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cacá Maciel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luciano Pons's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 30thth minute, Cacá Maciel skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Cacá Maciel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luciano Pons, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luciano Pons got free with Cacá Maciel in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sipo EC's Cacá Maciel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İskender Yörük in the 36th minute of play. Cacá Maciel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İskender Yörük, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Sipo EC's goalkeeper Cacá Maciel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luciano Pons. With his leg Cacá Maciel managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when Municipales FC's Luciano Pons fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cacá Maciel made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Luciano Pons sent off a good shot on target. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Municipales FC's Francisco Vincente was substituted for Raul Jaunti. Municipales FC's Arjen Robben was substituted for İskender Yörük. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Décio Messias stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sipo EC's goalkeeper Cacá Maciel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Décio Messias in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edvin van der Sar saved Municipales FC from getting behind. Edgardo Quintun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cacá Maciel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. 60 minutes into the game, Edgardo Quintun cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Cacá Maciel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cacá Maciel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edgardo Quintun went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. In the 71st minute, Edgardo Quintun ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cacá Maciel was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. In the 74th minute, Edgardo Quintun left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Municipales FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. Edgardo Quintun might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cacá Maciel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgardo Quintun ran back to his position shaking his head. Cacá Maciel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgardo Quintun in the 78th minute of play. After 79 minutes of play, Municipales FC's Edgardo Quintun made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cacá Maciel was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Sipo EC's zone, Edgardo Quintun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cacá Maciel came out of the goal and Edgardo Quintun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 85th play minutes Edgardo Quintun shot 9-0, a short shot which went by Cacá Maciel and just under the crossbar into goal. When Edgardo Quintun came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Municipales FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgardo Quintun couldn't finish the play. Edgardo Quintun struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Cacá Maciel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Municipales FC. Municipales FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bruce Harper in the 98th minute.
