Cosmos Soccer Club's Jarrett Rosenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hudson de Godoi in the 22nd minute of play. After 24 played minutes LOS PERNAMBUCANOS - FDFDF got a freekick which was hit by Tostão Furlan. Harvey Flynn was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 25th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

LOS PERNAMBUCANOS - FDFDF's Edmílson de Almeida was substituted for Washington Ceresso. Dráuzio Couto took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jarrett Rosenberg. Jarrett Rosenberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 74th minute Nicolas Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarrett Rosenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jarrett Rosenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giuseppe Silveira in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Cosmos Soccer Club's Patrick Fontenot dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After some careless play in the Cosmos Soccer Club defense, Dráuzio Couto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jarrett Rosenberg. The Cosmos Soccer Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jarrett Rosenberg should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dráuzio Couto in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jarrett Rosenberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 97 minutes into the match, Cosmos Soccer Club's goal looked a bit too open when Dráuzio Couto came free, but Jarrett Rosenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of LOS PERNAMBUCANOS - FDFDF booed when Cosmos Soccer Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robustiano Amor didn't get a good kick on the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. LOS PERNAMBUCANOS - FDFDF fully deserved thier win.
