The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Anibal Lluques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Jarrett Rosenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anibal Lluques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarrett Rosenberg having to interfere. Cosmos Soccer Club's Jarrett Rosenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anibal Lluques in the 18th minute of play. Jarrett Rosenberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Henrico, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Q. T. I.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Julian Raymundo in the 34th minute. After taking down the ball on Q. T. I.'s corner Justo Florian fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jarrett Rosenberg quite easily take care of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anibal Lluques stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Q. T. I.'s Anibal Lluques sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jarrett Rosenberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Anibal Lluques's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jarrett Rosenberg was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Q. T. After 86 played minutes Cosmos Soccer Club got a freekick which was hit by Harvey Flynn. Jarrett Rosenberg came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Q. T. I.'s Anibal Lluques. But to his dismay, Anibal Lluques quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After 91st play minutes Anibal Lluques shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Jarrett Rosenberg and just under the crossbar into goal. Marcus Rush's late challenge caught a Q. T. I.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcus Rush helped the player get up and apologised. Marcus Rush hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Jarrett Rosenberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lisandro Abeita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Q. T. I. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
