In the 12thth minute of the game Anibal Lluques who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC ARK CS's Nicolas Joey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 12 minutes into the game, Haroldo Montrel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Q. T. I.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC ARK CS the free kick. The supporters of FC ARK CS booed when Q. T. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anibal Lluques in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicolas Joey saved FC ARK CS from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Raymundo in the 37th minute of play forced FC ARK CS's goalkeeper Nicolas Joey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anibal Lluques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Q. T. I.'s Horacio Dolfo was substituted for Leopoldo Vermudo. 45 minutes in the game Noel Elvins did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Bryan White. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anibal Lluques to make the kick off. Q. T. I.'s Paulo Txatxu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Severo in the 50th minute of play. If Anibal Lluques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Q. T. I. defense, Edgar Lang kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo Txatxu. The Q. T. I. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Txatxu should have stopped the shot. Paulo Txatxu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Lang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute, Wilfredo Uxio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Q. T. I.'s Faustino Txerran was substituted for Carlos Sergi. Q. T. If Anibal Lluques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute Edgar Lang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Txatxu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
