Nautilus's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valer Bălășoiu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 13 minutes into the match, Nautilus's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Playo came free, but Adrian Bergström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adrian Bergström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radomir Tomiczek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of EL CERVECERO F.C. booed when Nautilus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcus Talló didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute, Valer Bălășoiu made a precise shot to the right of Adrian Bergström. Nautilus's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. When Marcus Talló came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Nautilus fans jumped to their feet. Radomir Tomiczek was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 27th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Valer Bălășoiu took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adrian Bergström. Adrian Bergström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 33rd minute Valer Bălășoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Bergström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radomir Tomiczek in the 34th minute of play forced Nautilus's goalkeeper Adrian Bergström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute Valer Bălășoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Bergström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nautilus's Adrian Bergström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Playo in the 39th minute of play. In the 44th match minute, EL CERVECERO F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Higinio Valente to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcus Talló in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vinicio Felipo saved EL CERVECERO F.C. from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valer Bălășoiu to make the kick off. Marcus Talló sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ernesto Playo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Adrian Bergström made a huge save.
