The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hudson Gaúcho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonard Aanuţei, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Beila Mora fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gheorghe Baldovin having to interfere. After 9 minutes FC Buzău's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Douglas Tande who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Sócrates Silva got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gheorghe Baldovin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 11th minute Leonard Aanuţei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hudson Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beila Mora's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gheorghe Baldovin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute of the match Austra 04 VFC got a corner. FC Buzău's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Douglas Tande ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gheorghe Baldovin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beila Mora, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute of the match, Edinson Cavani tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hudson Gaúcho saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 18th minute, Cătălin Arjoca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hudson Gaúcho was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Beila Mora in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gheorghe Baldovin saved FC Buzău from getting behind. Beila Mora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 26th minute Beila Mora shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gheorghe Baldovin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Austra 04 VFC's Beila Mora nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gheorghe Baldovin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Hudson Gaúcho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augustin Cernat in the 32nd minute of play. Ştefan Trif made in the 34th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Leonard Aanuţei immediately put the ball in play. If Marius Bunoaică had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hudson Gaúcho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augustin Cernat, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Gheorghe Baldovin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beila Mora in the 48th minute of play. Beila Mora scored 1-2 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gheorghe Baldovin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
58 minutes into the match, Austra 04 VFC's goal looked a bit too open when Marius Bunoaică came free, but Hudson Gaúcho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC Buzău's zone, Douglas Tande stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gheorghe Baldovin came out of the goal and Douglas Tande tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Beila Mora during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 68th match minute, Austra 04 VFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beila Mora to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of FC Buzău booed when Austra 04 VFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beila Mora didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ahmet Erdem Zekai kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. After having played for 74 minutes, Vintilă Stoicea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Buzău's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vintilă Stoicea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 76 minutes into the match, FC Buzău's goal looked a bit too open when Beila Mora came free, but Gheorghe Baldovin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute Marius Bunoaică shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hudson Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonard Aanuţei scored 2-2 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hudson Gaúcho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marius Bunoaică recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edinson Cavani in the 97th minute of play forced Austra 04 VFC's goalkeeper Hudson Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Ahmet Erdem Zekai kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gheorghe Baldovin. That made the score 2-3 in the 99 minute of play. The FC Buzău supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Austra 04 VFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Austra 04 VFC.
