DeportivoIndependienteMDP's Anastasio Eguerdi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beila Mora in the 10th minute of play. After some careless play in the DeportivoIndependienteMDP defense, Beila Mora kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anastasio Eguerdi. The DeportivoIndependienteMDP fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anastasio Eguerdi should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicolas Demario got free with Hudson Gaúcho in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anastasio Eguerdi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beila Mora, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Hudson Gaúcho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gregorio Urbes in the 19th minute. Austra 04 VFC's Hudson Gaúcho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Austra 04 VFC from getting a goal against them. DeportivoIndependienteMDP's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Salvador Perfecto in the 22nd minute. In the 29th minute Nicolas Demario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hudson Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute Beila Mora shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anastasio Eguerdi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hudson Gaúcho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esquipula Bouzon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute, Beila Mora got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esquipula Bouzon in the 46th minute of play forced Austra 04 VFC's goalkeeper Hudson Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Esquipula Bouzon to make the kick off. Beila Mora's late challenge caught a DeportivoIndependienteMDP's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Beila Mora helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of DeportivoIndependienteMDP booed when Austra 04 VFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beila Mora didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Beila Mora came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Austra 04 VFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beila Mora couldn't finish the play. 55 minutes into the match, DeportivoIndependienteMDP's goalkeeper Anastasio Eguerdi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Beila Mora. Anastasio Eguerdi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beila Mora in the 57th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Beila Mora's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anastasio Eguerdi was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Beila Mora who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Anastasio Eguerdi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Austra 04 VFC made a substitution. Wellington Pires replaced Sócrates Silva. Austra 04 VFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Demario in the 72nd minute of play forced Austra 04 VFC's goalkeeper Hudson Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Esquipula Bouzon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hudson Gaúcho having to interfere. Anastasio Eguerdi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wellington Pires in the 79th minute of play. Beila Mora hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After 82 played minutes Austra 04 VFC got a freekick which was hit by Beila Mora. Wellington Pires recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anastasio Eguerdi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcus Pollard in the 92nd minute. In the 94th minute of the match Austra 04 VFC got a corner. DeportivoIndependienteMDP's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Douglas Tande ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of DeportivoIndependienteMDP's goalie and right to Ahmet Erdem Zekai. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. DeportivoIndependienteMDP's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see DeportivoIndependienteMDP lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
