Sten Andreasson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nereo Rik might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sten Andreasson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nereo Rik ran back to his position shaking his head. Nereo Rik could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Sten Andreasson made a huge save. Stefan Krause made in the 13th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by The Reds's Benny Kvick. 16 minutes into the game, Bastian Tetzloff was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SK Fenerbahce Wien's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Reds the free kick. After a rather tough play, SK Fenerbahce Wien's Bastian Tetzloff got a free kick in the 16th minute. With a little luck, The Reds's Sten Andreasson got control of the ball when Roland-Nicolas Hertz tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Nereo Rik put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Sten Andreasson. Sten Andreasson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nereo Rik in the 25th minute. 28 minutes into the game, Nereo Rik cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Sten Andreasson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by The Reds's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vasyl Gladiy was slow to take the kick. During this time SK Fenerbahce Wien's players had a chance to rest. In the 38th match minute, The Reds was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benny Kvick to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the game, Nereo Rik lined in a short shot 3-0 behind a frustrated Sten Andreasson. In the 44th minute, Nereo Rik ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sten Andreasson was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nereo Rik stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Nereo Rik made a precise shot to the right of Sten Andreasson. The Reds's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. When Nereo Rik came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the SK Fenerbahce Wien fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nereo Rik couldn't finish the play. Nereo Rik scored 6-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sten Andreasson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 71st minute, Nereo Rik left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SK Fenerbahce Wien fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. SK Fenerbahce Wien made a substitution. Ixaka Boher replaced Nereo Rik. 77 minutes into the match, SK Fenerbahce Wien's Ixaka Boher sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sten Andreasson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sten Andreasson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ixaka Boher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute, Ixaka Boher ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sten Andreasson was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-0.
