The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. FC Kopenalguen's Delfim Secco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ian York in the 5th minute of play. Marcus Swift sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Bessone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trev Cahill having to interfere. Baldomiro Veto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th minute of the match, Ian York tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Delfim Secco saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ian York in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Delfim Secco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, FC Kopenalguen's Gino Bessone got a free kick in the 24th minute. Delfim Secco stood somewhat misplaced when Ian York came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 25 minute. River Thames FC's Trev Cahill played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomiro Veto in the 27th minute of play. After 27 minutes of play, FC Kopenalguen's Baldomiro Veto made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Trev Cahill was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet as River Thames FC's Ian York slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Delfim Secco. That made the score 2-1 after 31 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Salomone in the 34th minute of play forced River Thames FC's goalkeeper Trev Cahill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Trev Cahill showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaron Salomone in the 37th minute of the match. River Thames FC's Ian York got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Baldomiro Veto in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Trev Cahill prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baldomiro Veto in the 46th minute of play forced River Thames FC's goalkeeper Trev Cahill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 52ndth minute of the game Ian York who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Kopenalguen's Delfim Secco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Aras Görkem Zümer notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of FC Kopenalguen's Delfim Secco. Delfim Secco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baldomiro Veto got free with Trev Cahill in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ruperto Tano's late challenge caught a FC Kopenalguen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ruperto Tano helped the player get up and apologised. Ruperto Tano hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Delfim Secco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ian York, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute Aaron Salomone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trev Cahill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Victorino Pierres, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 78 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Trev Cahill was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Ian York fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delfim Secco having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in River Thames FC's zone, Aaron Salomone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trev Cahill came out of the goal and Aaron Salomone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 83 minutes into the match, FC Kopenalguen's goal looked a bit too open when Ian York came free, but Delfim Secco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ian York sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 88 minutes into the match, FC Kopenalguen's Aaron Salomone sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Trev Cahill narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Marcus Swift had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Delfim Secco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ian York's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Ian York sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Delfim Secco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ian York, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
