Fabio Betadur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ian York, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After 5 minutes of play, LA DEL MONO's Vince Easton made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Trev Cahill was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 9 played minutes LA DEL MONO got a freekick which was hit by Edelmiro Paskal. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for River Thames FC! Higinio Botello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Trev Cahill tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. John-Paul Wall hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the match, LA DEL MONO's Vince Easton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Trev Cahill narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The corner led to LA DEL MONO's Esteban Criston getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 28th minute, John-Paul Wall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vince Easton might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Trev Cahill. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vince Easton ran back to his position shaking his head. Vince Easton succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 39th playminute. In the 42ndth minute of the game Vince Easton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but River Thames FC's Trev Cahill was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Trev Cahill made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vince Easton in the 43rd minute of play. The supporters of River Thames FC booed when LA DEL MONO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edelmiro Paskal didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The wind increased when Vince Easton made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, LA DEL MONO's Vince Easton got a free kick in the 54th minute. If Higinio Botello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Esteban Criston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 63 minutes into the match, Vince Easton notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of River Thames FC's Trev Cahill. Trev Cahill was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 70 minutes into the match, LA DEL MONO's Vince Easton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Trev Cahill narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fabio Betadur made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Marcus Swift sent off a good shot on target. 76 minutes in the game, Vince Easton dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. LA DEL MONO's Layne Saron was substituted for Esteban Criston. A collision led to LA DEL MONO getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Octavio Ospetsu hit a great ball. After some careless play in the River Thames FC defense, Betinho Falcão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Trev Cahill. The River Thames FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Trev Cahill should have stopped the shot. In the 92nd minute, Betinho Falcão left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LA DEL MONO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. LA DEL MONO's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
