Edelmiro Paskal's late challenge caught a River Thames FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edelmiro Paskal helped the player get up and apologised. Fabio Betadur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ian York in the 29th minute of play. After taking down the ball on River Thames FC's corner Tod Cartwright fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fabio Betadur quite easily take care of the ball. In the 35th minute, Ian York got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 36 minutes, John-Paul Wall mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the River Thames FC and the LA DEL MONO players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind River Thames FC's goalkeeper Trev Cahill, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 70th minute, John-Paul Wall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. River Thames FC's Trev Cahill played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vince Easton in the 76th minute of play. LA DEL MONO's Vince Easton got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. LA DEL MONO made a substitution.
