When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Aaron Salomone took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Trev Cahill to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in FC Kopenalguen's zone, Marcus Swift stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Delfim Secco came out of the goal and Marcus Swift tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 10th match minute, FC Kopenalguen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopoldo Cordeiro to maneuver through the defense. Delfim Secco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ian York went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. With a little luck, River Thames FC's Trev Cahill got control of the ball when Leopoldo Cordeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. When River Thames FC's Ian York in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ian York in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Delfim Secco saved FC Kopenalguen from getting behind. In the 37th minute Aras Görkem Zümer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delfim Secco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the game, River Thames FC's Ian York nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Delfim Secco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ian York in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Delfim Secco saved FC Kopenalguen from getting behind. Ian York sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aaron Salomone was the one to do the kick off. FC Kopenalguen's Leopoldo Cordeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 57th minute, Ian York got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 61st minute, Loyd Harrington hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in River Thames FC's zone, Aaron Salomone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trev Cahill came out of the goal and Aaron Salomone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, River Thames FC's Charles Baker got a free kick in the 68th minute. Leopoldo Cordeiro struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Trev Cahill didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Kopenalguen. Tod Cartwright kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Ian York managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Thames FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ian York was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Delfim Secco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 78 minutes, Victorino Pierres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Kopenalguen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victorino Pierres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aaron Salomone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Ian York had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trev Cahill took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorino Pierres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, River Thames FC's Tod Cartwright got a free kick in the 92nd minute. When the final whistle sounded River Thames FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Kopenalguen.
