Hudson Arósio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Independência Futebol. Astor Urtun blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hudson Arósio having to make a save. Hudson Arósio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toto Arebam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Independência Futebol were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Santo Amaro AC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Toto Arebam took the corner. The corner led Independência Futebol's Toto Arebam to fire away a dangerous shot which Hudson Arósio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 14thth minute of the game Toto Arebam who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santo Amaro AC's Hudson Arósio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 15 minutes Santo Amaro AC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Toto Arebam who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Ronaldinho Gaúcho managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Toto Arebam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Hudson Arósio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cipriano Hermes came free with the goalkeeper in the 22nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jakob Heinicke could save by the left post. Astor Urtun might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hudson Arósio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Astor Urtun ran back to his position shaking his head. Hudson Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Astor Urtun in the 24th minute of play. Hudson Arósio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toto Arebam in the 27th minute of the match. After 28 minutes of play, Independência Futebol's Toto Arebam made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hudson Arósio was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 32 minutes, Astor Urtun made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Santo Amaro AC's Hudson Arósio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Cipriano Hermes was extremely unlucky when he, in the 35th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Dorian de Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santo Amaro AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dorian de Lara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jakob Heinicke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Santo Amaro AC's Luiz Fabiano de Senna got a free kick in the 40th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toto Arebam in the 42nd minute of play forced Santo Amaro AC's goalkeeper Hudson Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cipriano Hermes got free with Jakob Heinicke in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 45 played minutes Santo Amaro AC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fabiano de Senna. Astor Urtun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hudson Arósio having to interfere. Independência Futebol's Roger Arruda was substituted for Ronaldinho Gaúcho. Independência Futebol made a substitution. Emanuele Capaldo replaced Cristo Losantos. Independência Futebol's Chiquinho Vander was substituted for Zé Carlos Vaz. The Santo Amaro AC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Independência Futebol were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cipriano Hermes to strike the kick off in the second half. Jakob Heinicke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Hermes in the 63rd minute of play. After 63 minutes, Nicky Butt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Independência Futebol and the Santo Amaro AC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Santo Amaro AC fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Santo Amaro AC's Cipriano Hermes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Hudson Arósio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Astor Urtun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Hudson Arósio made a huge save. Independência Futebol's Jakob Heinicke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Arósio in the 86th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Independência Futebol's Emanuele Capaldo got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 92nd minute of the match Cipriano Hermes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jakob Heinicke skillfully saved the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Leonel Arósio notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Independência Futebol's Jakob Heinicke. Jakob Heinicke was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Astor Urtun in the 97thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal.
