Hamburg City Vampires's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Diamante U18 the free kick. In the 4th match minute, Hamburg City Vampires was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Youri Cruijff to maneuver through the defense. Deportivo Diamante U18 were awarded a corner in the 7th minute after Hamburg City Vampires's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lino Igon took the corner. A well done corner resulted in Leonides Dalmau drilling the ball in to score 0-1 behind Hamburg City Vampires's goalkeeper. When Conrado Maiorga came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Deportivo Diamante U18 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Conrado Maiorga couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Gervasio Isias sped through Deportivo Diamante U18's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gregorio Fagildo. Eugeniusz Tyski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amador Rafel in the 28th minute of the match. Eugeniusz Tyski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conrado Maiorga, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Valiente in the 37th minute of play forced Hamburg City Vampires's goalkeeper Eugeniusz Tyski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benny White kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After 45 minutes of play Hamburg City Vampires's Youri Cruijff was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 48 minutes into the match, Leonides Dalmau notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Hamburg City Vampires's Eugeniusz Tyski. Eugeniusz Tyski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 59th minute, Conrado Maiorga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eugeniusz Tyski was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Leonides Dalmau took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eugeniusz Tyski. Eugeniusz Tyski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. In the 81st play minute Conrado Maiorga came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Eugeniusz Tyski. 1-6. Hamburg City Vampires's attentive Géza Rákosi managed to snatch the ball when Anastasio Cordairo made a throw-in in the 88th minute of the game. After having played for 96 minutes, Sergio Presebal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Diamante U18's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sergio Presebal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Deportivo Diamante U18 could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Hamburg City Vampires throughout the match.
