In the 4th minute, Marco Benitez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eugeniusz Tyski was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Aaron Chevalier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Eugeniusz Tyski made a huge save. In the 12th match minute, Hamburg City Vampires was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benny White to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Marco Benitez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eugeniusz Tyski was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Edmund Lenertej made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benny White in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Witold Pryla in the 20th minute of play forced Hamburg City Vampires's goalkeeper Eugeniusz Tyski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fred Mendonça recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roy Lövskog received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Edmund Lenertej tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eugeniusz Tyski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Witold Pryla in the 40th minute of play.

Reinhard Borkmann struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Edmund Lenertej didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hamburg City Vampires. 56 minutes into the match, Hamburg City Vampires's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Chevalier came free, but Eugeniusz Tyski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eugeniusz Tyski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaron Chevalier in the 58th minute of the match. Nightmare were awarded a corner in the 59th minute after Hamburg City Vampires's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tang Han took the corner. After taking down the ball on Nightmare's corner Tang Han fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Eugeniusz Tyski quite easily take care of the ball. Eugeniusz Tyski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Witold Pryla, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Nightmare's Ademir de Sena was substituted for Marco Benitez. 72 minutes into the game, Wiktor Fink threw the ball into play from the sideline. Hamburg City Vampires's Géza Rákosi quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 73rd play minute Reinhard Borkmann came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Edmund Lenertej. 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roy Lövskog got free with Edmund Lenertej in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Géza Rákosi kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Reinhard Borkmann hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Reinhard Borkmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmund Lenertej having to interfere. After 91 played minutes Hamburg City Vampires got a freekick which was hit by Fred Mendonça. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
