Robert Vassenius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute, Bianco Lemme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, RB Chubut's Gabríel Batistuta got a free kick in the 11th minute. Gabríel Batistuta struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Eugeniusz Tyski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RB Chubut. Guaberto Bibiano charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Hamburg City Vampires booed when RB Chubut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efrain Karmel didn't get a good kick on the ball. RB Chubut's Robert Vassenius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reinhard Borkmann in the 28th minute of play. Eugeniusz Tyski was a little too slow when Jurand Deput got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 1-0. Robert Vassenius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Jurand Deput sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 47 minutes into the match, RB Chubut's goal looked a bit too open when Benny White came free, but Robert Vassenius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

RB Chubut's Isaac Mingo was substituted for Jurand Deput. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Isaac Mingo was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute of the match, Benny White tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Robert Vassenius saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinhard Borkmann in the 81st minute of play forced RB Chubut's goalkeeper Robert Vassenius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. RB Chubut's Robert Vassenius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save RB Chubut from getting a goal against them. Aaron Anselmino was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 91 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in RB Chubut fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 90th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 93 minutes, Hamburg City Vampires's Reinhard Borkmann got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Robert Vassenius. RB Chubut succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Hamburg City Vampires had controlled the match.
