After 11th play minutes Lanny Gilmore shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Attila Mesterházy and just under the crossbar into goal. Lanny Gilmore might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Attila Mesterházy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lanny Gilmore ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Balassagyarmat SC booed when Santos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tory Weeks didn't get a good kick on the ball. Attila Mesterházy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lanny Gilmore in the 19th minute of the match. If Lanny Gilmore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, Lanny Gilmore dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Attila Mesterházy, 3-0. Tamás Havasi made in the 27th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Karel Suryoprayogo immediately put the ball in play. After a rather tough play, Santos FC's Tory Weeks got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 39th minute, Santos FC's Tyron Velasquez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Attila Mesterházy. Attila Mesterházy yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. The throw-in from Karel Suryoprayogo in the 42nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Santos FC's Terence Nicholas. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for László Madaras to strike the kick off in the second half. Tyron Velasquez might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Attila Mesterházy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tyron Velasquez ran back to his position shaking his head. Attila Mesterházy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lanny Gilmore's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. After some careless play in the Balassagyarmat SC defense, Tyron Velasquez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Attila Mesterházy. The Balassagyarmat SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Attila Mesterházy should have stopped the shot. 71 minutes into the match, Tyron Velasquez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Attila Mesterházy. Balassagyarmat SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tyron Velasquez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Balassagyarmat SC made a substitution. László Csank replaced Christian Kilstedt. Tamás Havasi made in the 76th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Calistrat Tomulescu immediately put the ball in play. 77 minutes into the match, Lanny Gilmore notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Balassagyarmat SC's Attila Mesterházy. Attila Mesterházy was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lanny Gilmore in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Attila Mesterházy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Attila Mesterházy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tyron Velasquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Balassagyarmat SC booed when Santos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Terence Nicholas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santos FC's Dominic Albright managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Calistrat Tomulescu in the 87 minute of the game. When Terence Nicholas came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Santos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Terence Nicholas couldn't finish the play. Santos FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
