Dani Vassaras dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 13th minute, C.J. Sharp left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pinturas Coronado fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After 16 minutes, Gheorghe Popescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pinturas Coronado and the La France FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th minute, Gheorghe Popescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dani Vassaras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt Persson in the 19th minute of play. In the 19th minute Bengt Persson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dani Vassaras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. La France FC's Dani Vassaras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulryk Barowicz in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd of the match, Mei Wei Xuan tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Beltxe Balboa got in the way and made a wonderful save. In the 23rd minute La France FC were awarded a corner. Juan Huerta went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Gustavo Frasco got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Beltxe Balboa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Sharp got free with Dani Vassaras in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dani Vassaras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bengt Persson, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 95th match minute, La France FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mei Wei Xuan to maneuver through the defense. In the 98th minute, Genaro Peña hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pinturas Coronado's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
