In the 11th minute, Lanny Gilmore made a precise shot to the right of Dobromir Mielak. Mitschullen SSA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Terence Nicholas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dobromir Mielak having to make a save. Lanny Gilmore might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dobromir Mielak. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lanny Gilmore ran back to his position shaking his head. Dobromir Mielak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lanny Gilmore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dobromir Mielak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lanny Gilmore in the 25th minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lanny Gilmore to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Lanny Gilmore managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lanny Gilmore was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dobromir Mielak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 65 minutes into the match, Santos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Geralt Wilk came free, but Aaron Smallwood reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lanny Gilmore in the 67th minute of play forced Mitschullen SSA's goalkeeper Dobromir Mielak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Hieronim Sobania fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mitschullen SSA's protests and gave Hieronim Sobania a yellow card for diving instead. After 69 played minutes Mitschullen SSA got a freekick which was hit by Hieronim Sobania. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lanny Gilmore in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dobromir Mielak saved Mitschullen SSA from getting behind. Mitschullen SSA's attentive Ab Ba managed to snatch the ball when Titus Kohler made a throw-in in the 80th minute of the game. In the 81st minute Lanny Gilmore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dobromir Mielak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Santos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Geralt Wilk came free, but Aaron Smallwood reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santos FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
