Mazinho Barreto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juan Funes's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. 24 minutes into the match, River CBBA's goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Diego Di Toma. Mazinho Barreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boğaçhan Akyel in the 25th minute of the match. In the 34th minute Argoitz Abeijon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mazinho Barreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mazinho Barreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Argoitz Abeijon, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 39 minutes into the game, Argoitz Abeijon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2.
