After 23 played minutes Cyprus Eagles AFC got a freekick which was hit by Sakis Melisofagos. Pavlos Fotiadis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ole-Gunnar Klose, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Pete Luna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Konstantinos Ikonomopoulos in the 25th minute of the match. In the 27th match minute, Cyprus Eagles AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nontas Markas to maneuver through the defense. Darkness's Adolfo Jacindo got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Konstantinos Ikonomopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pavlos Fotiadis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolfo Jacindo in the 33rd minute of the match. Pete Luna was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nikos Pathekas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 34 minute of play. After 44 minutes, Rodolfo Hori mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Darkness and the Cyprus Eagles AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Darkness's Pete Luna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nontas Markas in the 64th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Darkness's Peter Achenbach got a free kick in the 65th minute. Ole-Gunnar Klose could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Pavlos Fotiadis made a huge save. 72 minutes into the match, Darkness's Ole-Gunnar Klose sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pavlos Fotiadis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 74 minutes into the match, Ole-Gunnar Klose had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pavlos Fotiadis. Cyprus Eagles AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ole-Gunnar Klose was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2.
