Herbert Kosakowski came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Saint Etienne FC's Tolek Wojno. But to his dismay, Tolek Wojno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. The supporters of Saint Etienne FC booed when Koniec Gry was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wojciech Szczęsny didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Witalis Siekierski fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Koniec Gry's protests and gave Witalis Siekierski a yellow card for diving instead. Wojciech Szczęsny's late challenge caught a Saint Etienne FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wojciech Szczęsny helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Saint Etienne FC booed when Koniec Gry was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wojciech Szczęsny didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tolek Wojno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 35 minutes into the match, Tolek Wojno had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Herbert Kosakowski. Koniec Gry's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tolek Wojno was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Tolek Wojno might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Herbert Kosakowski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tolek Wojno ran back to his position shaking his head. When Saint Etienne FC's Maximino Errapel in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Koniec Gry's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maximino Errapel in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Herbert Kosakowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Herbert Kosakowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tolek Wojno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Saint Etienne FC were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tolek Wojno was the one to do the kick off. Maximino Errapel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, Herbert Kosakowski skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Herbert Kosakowski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximino Errapel in the 55th minute. In the 57thth minute of the game Tolek Wojno who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Koniec Gry's Herbert Kosakowski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maximino Errapel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Herbert Kosakowski skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 61st match minute, Koniec Gry was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Przemyslaw Latocha to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tolek Wojno in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Herbert Kosakowski saved Koniec Gry from getting behind. Koniec Gry's Herbert Kosakowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tolek Wojno in the 65th minute of play. After 66 played minutes Saint Etienne FC got a freekick which was hit by Alejo Telesforo. Herbert Kosakowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tolek Wojno in the 75th minute of the match. Saint Etienne FC's Maximino Errapel got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Saint Etienne FC's Flavio Valery was substituted for Angelo Enaut. Herbert Kosakowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tolek Wojno, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 85 minutes into the game, Tolek Wojno cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-10. Herbert Kosakowski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Maximino Errapel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Herbert Kosakowski when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Maximino Errapel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
