An unexpectedly hard shot by Cyryl Arbaszewski in the 38th minute of play forced Flores da Cunha - RS's goalkeeper Ismael Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ismael Mendes came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Shaolin soccer's 김 영. But to his dismay, 김 영 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 47th minute, Vítor Melo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Flores da Cunha - RS defense, 김 영 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ismael Mendes. The Flores da Cunha - RS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ismael Mendes should have stopped the shot.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Radamel Aguero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
