Alexandro Gavilanes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo José Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute Tulio Maravilha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandro Gavilanes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Gustavo Perez hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Paulo José Rocha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 23rd minute, Tulio Maravilha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AITEC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 31st match minute, AITEC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raí Lara to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vânderson Sá stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pedro Luís Velloso made in the 69th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Paulo José Rocha however managed to control. AITEC's Danilo Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Bezerra in the 72nd minute of play. After 77 minutes of play, AITEC's Tulio Maravilha made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexandro Gavilanes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tulio Maravilha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Alexandro Gavilanes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, AITEC's goal looked a bit too open when Vânderson Sá came free, but Danilo Guerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, AITEC's Alexandro Gavilanes threw himself towards the right post 92 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tulio Maravilha, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Alexandro Gavilanes made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Paulo José Rocha sent off a good shot on target.
