It was Semen Afonchenko who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Arsenal F.C.'s Semen Afonchenko to fire away a dangerous shot which Alfons Glad despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Matvey Kivrin hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Segmon IF's Alfons Glad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniil Fomin in the 25th minute of play. Alfons Glad made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Gică Busuioc sent off a good shot on target. In the 35th minute of the match Arsenal F.C. got a corner. Segmon IF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Semen Afonchenko ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Gică Busuioc heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars-Erik Lidström in the 42nd minute of play forced Arsenal F.C.'s goalkeeper Leonardo Da Vinci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute, Segmon IF's Johannes Rosin seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Johannes Rosin the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Segmon IF protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Johannes Rosin had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Robert Dubiel to strike the kick off in the second half. Segmon IF's Alfons Glad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afanasiy Shefner in the 52nd minute of play. Alfons Glad came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Arsenal F.C.'s Daniil Fomin. But to his dismay, Daniil Fomin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Alfons Glad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniil Fomin in the 56th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Gică Busuioc had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfons Glad. Segmon IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gică Busuioc was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0.
