Spectators: 7509 (Terracing: 5632, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Niki Lauda started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Niki Lauda in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck William Rosa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cleiton Vidal in the 7th minute of play forced RIVER's goalkeeper Marcial Lordi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Vila Mascote FC's goal looked a bit too open when Niki Lauda came free, but William Rosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 10 minutes Vila Mascote FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Giovanni Lenhardt who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Giovanni Lenhardt got away a dangerous shot. Despite this William Rosa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. William Rosa made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Eric Târban sent off a good shot on target. In the 25th match minute, RIVER was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaac Nuxila to maneuver through the defense. Zhang Zheng Liang struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Marcial Lordi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vila Mascote FC. After a rather tough play, Vila Mascote FC's José de Mendonça got a free kick in the 28th minute. Cleiton Vidal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zhang Zheng Liang in the 40th minute of play forced RIVER's goalkeeper Marcial Lordi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcial Lordi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaká Mota in the 42nd minute of the match. 43 minutes into the game, Marcelino Raposo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RIVER's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vila Mascote FC the free kick. A collision led to RIVER getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Marcelino Raposo hit a great ball. RIVER's Tobias Belmiro was substituted for Bruno Oxarra. After a rather tough play, RIVER's Marcelino Raposo got a free kick in the 44th minute. A collision led to Vila Mascote FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. José de Mendonça hit a great ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After 53 minutes RIVER's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was José de Mendonça who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Kaká Mota managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Marcial Lordi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cleiton Vidal in the 56th minute of the match. After 58 minutes of play Vila Mascote FC's José de Mendonça was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of RIVER booed when Vila Mascote FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. José de Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. RIVER's Pipo Benedetto was substituted for Eric Târban. After 60 played minutes Vila Mascote FC got a freekick which was hit by José de Mendonça. William Rosa came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by RIVER's Niki Lauda. But to his dismay, Niki Lauda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. RIVER's Marco Rudolfo got his second yellow card of the match in the 64th minute. The referee ordered Marco Rudolfo off the ground. After a rather tough play, RIVER's Marco Rudolfo got a free kick in the 65th minute. 67 minutes into the match, RIVER's goalkeeper Marcial Lordi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zhang Zheng Liang. William Rosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niki Lauda in the 69th minute of play. After 74 minutes, Pipo Benedetto made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Vila Mascote FC's William Rosa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcial Lordi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaká Mota, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute Vila Mascote FC were awarded a corner. Kaká Mota went to the cornerflag to take it. Vila Mascote FC's Kaká Mota was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marcial Lordi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Marcial Lordi made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Zhang Zheng Liang sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to RIVER getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Marcelino Raposo hit a great ball. Zhang Zheng Liang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vila Mascote FC's William Rosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wu Li Zhi in the 93rd minute of play.
