The audience was convinced that Joachim Hägglund's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arif Oğuz Cantürk was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. An unexpected shot in the 44th minute by Peder Karlberg got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Burnley FC made a substitution. Enzo Proietti replaced Cristoforo Capuozzi. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joachim Hägglund to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Hultin in the 52nd minute of play forced Burnley FC's goalkeeper Arif Oğuz Cantürk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arvid Jansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franco Epifani, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Burnley FC's Arif Oğuz Cantürk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joachim Hägglund in the 68th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Hultin in the 70th minute of play forced Burnley FC's goalkeeper Arif Oğuz Cantürk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Trixande Fåglar BK were furious when Ivar Ekrot was red carded, 73 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After a defensive mix-up in Trixande Fåglar BK's zone, Enzo Proietti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arvid Jansson came out of the goal and Enzo Proietti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Trixande Fåglar BK's Dan Rönn got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Ove Ferm fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trixande Fåglar BK's protests and gave Ove Ferm a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Trixande Fåglar BK's Jonas Åström got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute, Stefan Hultin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 85 minutes into the match, Trixande Fåglar BK's goal looked a bit too open when Franco Epifani came free, but Arvid Jansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arif Oğuz Cantürk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Rönn, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After 94 played minutes Burnley FC got a freekick which was hit by Enzo Proietti. After 97 played minutes Trixande Fåglar BK got a freekick which was hit by Dan Rönn. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Burnley FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
