The Keyes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Szczepan Ludwa should have stopped the shot. 15 minutes into the match, Niki Lauda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Szczepan Ludwa. Keyes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Niki Lauda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 25 minutes into the game, Eric Târban cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Szczepan Ludwa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Eric Târban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. RIVER's attentive Rosendo Osorio managed to snatch the ball when Gilbert Burdalski made a throw-in in the 34th minute of the game. In the 36th minute, Eric Târban made a precise shot to the right of Szczepan Ludwa. Keyes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. Eric Târban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eric Târban's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Szczepan Ludwa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niki Lauda in the 48th minute of play forced Keyes's goalkeeper Szczepan Ludwa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-7 lead.

RIVER's Tobias Belmiro was substituted for Bruno Oxarra. Szczepan Ludwa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niki Lauda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Szczepan Ludwa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pipo Benedetto in the 87th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Keyes's goalkeeper Szczepan Ludwa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pipo Benedetto. Szczepan Ludwa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobias Belmiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. RIVER's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
