In the 18th minute Kaká Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sune Rudberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sune Rudberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With an all-out effort, Vila Mascote FC's Sune Rudberg threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cleiton Vidal, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 43rd match minute, Vila Mascote FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Francisco Baiano to maneuver through the defense.
