After 12 played minutes Echegoyen AFC got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Xacintu. A collision led to Echegoyen AFC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Eliseo Xacintu hit a great ball. Oliver Ramon struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Genaro Iraitz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Municipal. 17 minutes into the match, Echegoyen AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Arnulfo Camus came free, but Genaro Iraitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Genaro Iraitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnulfo Camus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. CD Municipal's George Forsyth proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save CD Municipal from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnulfo Camus in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Genaro Iraitz saved Echegoyen AFC from getting behind. George Forsyth made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Colon Primero sent off a good shot on target. CD Municipal's George Forsyth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Colon Primero in the 29th minute of play. With a little luck, CD Municipal's George Forsyth got control of the ball when Colon Primero tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 39th minute Palle Tazon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genaro Iraitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. George Forsyth made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Colon Primero sent off a good shot on target. Arnulfo Camus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genaro Iraitz having to interfere. After the first half CD Municipal were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Marcelo Reno kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 54th minute, Arnulfo Camus left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CD Municipal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After 57 played minutes Echegoyen AFC got a freekick which was hit by Tadeu Arruda. Oliver Ramon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Genaro Iraitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Palle Tazon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnulfo Camus in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Genaro Iraitz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Colon Primero came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Echegoyen AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Colon Primero couldn't finish the play. Genaro Iraitz had in the 78thth minute some difficulties stopping Arnulfo Camus's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Echegoyen AFC's Genaro Iraitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnulfo Camus in the 79th minute of play. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind CD Municipal's goalkeeper George Forsyth, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Echegoyen AFC's Genaro Iraitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Echegoyen AFC from getting a goal against them. CD Municipal's George Forsyth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Colon Primero in the 87th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Echegoyen AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Arnulfo Camus came free, but Genaro Iraitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Eliseo Xacintu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnulfo Camus took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Genaro Iraitz. Genaro Iraitz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Echegoyen AFC's Colon Primero pulled a muscle in his leg after 98 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Lucas Huidobro charged in rather forcefully in the 98th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lucas Huidobro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the final whistle sounded CD Municipal left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Echegoyen AFC.
