Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Harry Boumans to make the kick off. The corner led Real Brasília FC - DMZ's Uwe Askri to fire away a dangerous shot which Nils-Erik Åhlberg despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 95th minute, Tommy Ekgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nils-Erik Åhlberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romelio Lukaku, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Real Brasília FC - DMZ's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
