Jörgen Lundström was slow to take the kick. During this time Runa United's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Runa United's Jörgen Lundström to fire away a dangerous shot which Răzvan Fințescu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Lunáticos FC's Răzvan Fințescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ted Almstedt in the 13th minute of play. Răzvan Fințescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harry Boumans, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The supporters of Lunáticos FC booed when Runa United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthias Lundin didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommy Ekgren in the 22nd minute of play forced Lunáticos FC's goalkeeper Răzvan Fințescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Răzvan Fințescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harry Boumans in the 23rd minute of the match. Răzvan Fințescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Harry Boumans's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Răzvan Fințescu made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Harry Boumans sent off a good shot on target. Răzvan Fințescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ted Almstedt in the 29th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Ted Almstedt took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Răzvan Fințescu to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Harry Boumans got free with Răzvan Fințescu in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lunáticos FC's Răzvan Fințescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ted Almstedt in the 35th minute of play. In the 38th minute Geovani do Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils-Erik Åhlberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Lunáticos FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Walmir Britto hit a great ball. When Ted Almstedt fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Runa United's protests and gave Ted Almstedt a yellow card for diving instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Geovani do Nascimento was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Runa United booed when Lunáticos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Martins didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jörgen Lundström, 56 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 57th minute, Harry Boumans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Răzvan Fințescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harry Boumans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Runa United fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Runa United's Harry Boumans looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Harry Boumans took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Răzvan Fințescu. Răzvan Fințescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. 78 minutes into the match, Harry Boumans notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Lunáticos FC's Răzvan Fințescu. Răzvan Fințescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Răzvan Fințescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommy Ekgren in the 82nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Walmir Britto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lunáticos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Walmir Britto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nils-Erik Åhlberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lunáticos FC's Răzvan Fințescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harry Boumans in the 86th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harry Boumans in the 92nd minute of play forced Lunáticos FC's goalkeeper Răzvan Fințescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 96 minutes, Tommy Ekgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Runa United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tommy Ekgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
