An unexpectedly hard shot by Raul Moise in the 16th minute of play forced Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's goalkeeper Cruz Salcedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's Cruz Salcedo got control of the ball when Arsenio Erico tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cruz Salcedo made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Arsenio Erico sent off a good shot on target. Arsenio Erico's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cruz Salcedo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Cruz Salcedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciriaco Medardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Arsenio Erico notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's Cruz Salcedo. Cruz Salcedo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Sportivo Constitución fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Raul Moise's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cruz Salcedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. In the 51st minute, Raul Moise ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cruz Salcedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After having played for 56 minutes, Wang Sang Chen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wang Sang Chen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 59th minute, Americo Txomin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sportivo Constitución fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. In the 62ndth minute of the game Arsenio Erico who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's Cruz Salcedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cruz Salcedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arsenio Erico in the 65th minute of play. Cruz Salcedo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arsenio Erico went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sportivo Constitución's goalkeeper Apolo Aguirre, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 78 minutes into the match, Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Moise came free, but Cruz Salcedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute Sportivo Constitución were awarded a corner. Arsenio Erico went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Arsenio Erico almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's Cruz Salcedo did a great save. 86 minutes into the game, Godofredo Eduino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Cruz Salcedo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Americo Txomin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cruz Salcedo having to interfere. In the 92nd minute of the match Americo Txomin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cruz Salcedo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato defense, Ciriaco Medardo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cruz Salcedo. The Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cruz Salcedo should have stopped the shot. Sportivo Constitución's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
