Ertan İdrisoğlu's late challenge caught a Black Diamond's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. With his leg Dick Vedholm managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when istanbulls's Alp Enginalp fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. istanbulls's Göksel Canfeda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Akın Turhan in the 41st minute of play. Dick Vedholm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patric Bierhoff, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. The supporters of istanbulls booed when Black Diamond was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Akın Turhan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Black Diamond's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
