When Geronimo Txindoki fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CF Scalonetos's protests and gave Geronimo Txindoki a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to CF Scalonetos getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 93rd minute, Norberto Theodore got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Godofredo Eduino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Caupolicán Damjan. CF Scalonetos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Godofredo Eduino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. The CF Scalonetos fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sportivo Constitución were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
