The Amaranthus fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anton Brander should have stopped the shot. 8 minutes into the match, Amaranthus's goal looked a bit too open when Sandrinho Cunha came free, but Anton Brander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute of the match Militros F.C. got a corner. Amaranthus's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sandrinho Cunha ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Militros F.C.'s Cosimo Tagliente getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Rune Hammarbäck kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Anton Brander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wanderson Valencia in the 12th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Wanderson Valencia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anton Brander was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Wanderson Valencia put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Anton Brander. In the 35th match minute, Amaranthus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rune Hammarbäck to maneuver through the defense. Anton Brander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wanderson Valencia in the 37th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Wanderson Valencia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Militros F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Wanderson Valencia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anton Brander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Amaranthus players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Militros F.C. were winning 0-8.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Reinaldo Jaen to strike the kick off in the second half. Wanderson Valencia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Anton Brander when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With his leg Anton Brander managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when Militros F.C.'s Wanderson Valencia fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 64 minutes into the match, Militros F.C.'s Howard Layfield sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anton Brander narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Amaranthus's Anton Brander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wanderson Valencia in the 67th minute of play. Militros F.C. made a substitution. Paulão Freire replaced Wanderson Valencia. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by Amaranthus's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sandrinho Cunha was slow to take the kick. During this time Militros F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. Militros F.C.'s Sandrinho Cunha was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Anton Brander in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 72 minutes into the game, Paulão Freire cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-10. Anton Brander was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Amaranthus's Genílson Meireles was substituted for Emil Frisck. Paulão Freire struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Anton Brander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Militros F.C.. Paulão Freire in the 80thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Anton Brander was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
