In the 16th match minute, MICE F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zinédine Papoutsiadis to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of AZURDUY F.C. booed when MICE F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Memphis Lundquist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Despite this Christos Perivolakis quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. AZURDUY F.C.'s Teodosio Iigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dimitris Skondras in the 25th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Tom Hermansson put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Christos Perivolakis. AZURDUY F.C.'s Berker Soytekin was substituted for Elpidio Laurgain. After 59 played minutes AZURDUY F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Fred Åkerström. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dimitris Skondras in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teodosio Iigo saved AZURDUY F.C. from getting behind. The corner went over the outstretched arms of AZURDUY F.C.'s goalie and right to Zinédine Papoutsiadis. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. AZURDUY F.C.'s manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by AZURDUY F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Panos Kavaliaratos was slow to take the kick. During this time MICE F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. With an all-out effort, AZURDUY F.C.'s Christos Perivolakis threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tom Hermansson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. AZURDUY F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Károly Bogdán in the 79th minute. After taking down the ball on AZURDUY F.C.'s corner Károly Bogdán fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Christos Perivolakis quite easily take care of the ball. In the 81st match minute, AZURDUY F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilio Gotzon to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute of the match Panos Kavaliaratos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Teodosio Iigo skillfully saved the ball. Dimitris Skondras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The AZURDUY F.C. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
