If Tom Hermansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Villa Mitre's Virgilio Sotil got control of the ball when Tom Hermansson tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, AZURDUY F.C.'s Petr Vosáhlo got a free kick in the 7th minute. After 8 played minutes, Villa Mitre's Paulo Admon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Teodosio Iigo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Villa Mitre reached it. AZURDUY F.C. were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Villa Mitre's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Károly Bogdán took the corner. The corner led AZURDUY F.C.'s Károly Bogdán to fire away a dangerous shot which Virgilio Sotil despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 13th minute, Tom Hermansson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tom Hermansson in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Virgilio Sotil saved Villa Mitre from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Tom Hermansson put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Virgilio Sotil. Tom Hermansson might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Virgilio Sotil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tom Hermansson ran back to his position shaking his head. Károly Bogdán fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Sotil having to interfere. Tom Hermansson had several of the Villa Mitre's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 26 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Virgilio Sotil as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 29th match minute, Villa Mitre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honorio Delfino to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Villa Mitre defense, Tom Hermansson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Virgilio Sotil. The Villa Mitre fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Virgilio Sotil should have stopped the shot. If Tom Hermansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tom Hermansson to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Tom Hermansson notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Villa Mitre's Virgilio Sotil. Virgilio Sotil was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Villa Mitre's goalkeeper Virgilio Sotil, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Tom Hermansson put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Virgilio Sotil. AZURDUY F.C. made a substitution. Berker Soytekin replaced Elpidio Laurgain. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Tom Hermansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. AZURDUY F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Tom Hermansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Virgilio Sotil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tom Hermansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, one of Villa Mitre:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Villa Mitre. Virgilio Sotil had in the 68thth minute some difficulties stopping Tom Hermansson's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 72 played minutes Villa Mitre got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Admon. Victoriano Chabier kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Tom Hermansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 78 played minutes Villa Mitre got a freekick which was hit by Romulo Pelayo. After 79 minutes of play, AZURDUY F.C.'s Tom Hermansson made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Virgilio Sotil was left in no man's land by his defense there! Virgilio Sotil stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tom Hermansson's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. After 84 played minutes Villa Mitre got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Admon. Virgilio Sotil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tom Hermansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. If Tom Hermansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Niclas Füllkrug took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Virgilio Sotil. Virgilio Sotil dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. If Tom Hermansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Virgilio Sotil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tom Hermansson in the 96th minute of the match. Tom Hermansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Virgilio Sotil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that AZURDUY F.C. were the better team. AZURDUY F.C.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
