In the 5th minute Tom Hermansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manoel Neuer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teodosio Iigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xu Li Sang in the 8th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tom Hermansson in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manoel Neuer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dobromir Zagrodny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teodosio Iigo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ruy de Brito went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tom Hermansson in the 29th minute of play forced Jovens Democratas MZC's goalkeeper Manoel Neuer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jovens Democratas MZC's Manoel Neuer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tom Hermansson in the 31st minute of play. Niclas Füllkrug hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. A collision led to AZURDUY F.C. getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Niclas Füllkrug hit a great ball. Jovens Democratas MZC's Ruy de Brito got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dobromir Zagrodny in the 39th minute of play forced AZURDUY F.C.'s goalkeeper Teodosio Iigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Xu Li Sang made the kick off in the second half. Manoel Neuer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tom Hermansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 76 minutes into the match, AZURDUY F.C.'s goalkeeper Teodosio Iigo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marco van Basten. Marco van Basten's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Teodosio Iigo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Jovens Democratas MZC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dobromir Zagrodny in the 80th minute. Jovens Democratas MZC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
